magicstuffness... i, the cat, use a peavey studio pro m2. its a few hundred bucks and the nicest mic i've ever had the luxury of using.. but the horse uses a relatively inexpensive apex435. you can pick one up for $50 or so. mind you, you'll most likely need an external audio interface to record it into your computer, as all condenser mics need phantom power. the NoWPAU wants you.
